Day 10
Day 10
Hi everyone,
Still sober on Day 10. Eating like a horse though. Sleeping brilliantly - almost too much. I am feeling the gap in my life at the moment. Not so I want to drink, but more "What can I do to fill the gap left by alcohol." I guess I'm feeling a bit empty. I pulled a muscle in my calf too which has disrupted my exercise plans for now. I think maybe I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today.

First off. Great job on the 10 days. What have you been doing daily to get that far?
In my past experiences i build up a daily routine, and follow it to the letter. And lo and behold my life gets better.
I totally relate to feeling sorry for oneself too...At AA they always encourage me to do an inventory exercise on it.
To really dis-sect why you're feeling that way?
Good luck to you.

Good for you getting to Day 10. It sounds like it might be time to begin to add some new activities to your life. Ideally, you would get involved with an activity where people were not drinking. At the beginning of my recovery, I began volunteering at a Women's Shelter and it was one of the best decisions I made. What kinds of things do you like to do - sports, music?
Here's one link; I think that there is another. I will keep looking.
