Night out

Took my wife to nice restaurant last night,we had a gift card from Christmas.I wasn't here for New Years Eve,was too depressed to share in Christmas. It was okay for me to be around alcohol because my wife was with me.I noticed there were a lot of people drinking soda,Whoop whoop! Then when I needed a refill the barter said they were free! This sober life is alright.Drove home with no fears of the cops, woke up up this morning feeling great.

I went to my Xmas work night out in early December, and ordered a Coke, the guy behind the bar said, as you're a designated driver (which I wasn't really) you can buy 3 soft drinks for the price of 1, he proceeded to give me 2 vouchers to use later on in the night!!

Sobriety can be awesome, great stuff Headcase!!

Well done! One way to look at this is that you'll feel better after the drinking time is passed, and definately you'll feel better the next morning. So booze makes us chipper for a couple hours, but then we crash afterwards and are irritable the next morning. When we stop that, we don't crash after we leave the restaurant, and we don't wake up sick and angry the next morning.

Here's a sad story about a guy who drove home and killed someone. His very first offense with the law, and he's going to jail for 9 years.
Jim Stingl - Hard lesson for otherwise law-abiding man who drove drunk

Maybe you avoided this last nite by driving home 100% sober.

i use google to get stories about tragedies involving alcohol.
I'll google
'dui prison'
'dui death'
'owi prison'

Everyday, 100+ people go to jail for drunk driving.
