i stopped for four months and then started drinking again. It's gotten really bad in the last six months and I know I have to stop. I'm constantly conflicted by my drinking, always feeling guilty the next day. That, and I take Ambien at night and then don't remember what I did the night before, which is an awful feeling. I feel if I don't stop now I will be driven to suicide. Alcohol helps me deal with my crummy life, but I know I have to give it up. It's like losing a limb.

Welcome back, secretary, to SR.

Have you spoken with your doctor about your drinking and your fears that it will lead you to suicide?

I'm back too Secretary, yes see a doctor, the dam stuff causes depression big time, I'm back on day 11 and taking plenty of vitamins especially B ones that help the brain reconnect again, I rey do some exercise also and eat healthy food, Good Luck Sec and see doc as you might need some medication to get you over the acute withdrawal stage or you could have a seizure. X

Welcome back, and I also think that talking to your dr would be a good idea.

Hi Secretary, good to meet you.

Yeah, I also think seeing your doc would be a good idea.

Stay close, and post often.

Welcome back, Secretary!

I have a good friend who got drunk and "didn't remember" taking a whole bottle of Ambien. I would recommend that you get to the next possible AA meeting--there is probably one nearby.
