Anxiety is improving 48 days in
Hi all,
48 days in and pleased to say the panic attacks and anxiety are slowly fading.... so relieved they were exhausting. Alcohol recovery feels like 2 steps forward one step back.
Its definitely taken longer for me than I was prepared for, its effected my work, family and mental health but im sober none the less.
Im still working on the sleep as have to be up at 530 for work and was a beer drinking night owl.
So im working on going to sleep and getting up at same time each day.
How are we all going?

Glad to hear you are feeling better - it sounds like you're making great progress. Mine would come and go - but faded completely over time.
Good sleep with help with healing too.
I believe vitamins & exercise also helped my healing process

hi Justin, you're doing great !
I think recovery is different for everyone.
I'm three months sober now, and I 'm sleeping really well.
I still get days where I'm confused and foggy, but feeling much better physically.
I feel much calmer though, don't have anxiety most days.
I think like you said it's two steps forward and one back sometimes.
Hang in there, things will level out eventually.

Hi Justin, I can relate. i can not believe how much more calm I am after 65 days of abstinence. Even tough I still have discomfort, it is nothing compared to what I was experiencing when I first started.
The process can be two steps forward, one step back, but progress is virtually guaranteed as long as you stop drinking all together!
I am so happy to see other people having success as well!! This should be great motivation for all other people trying to quit, it does get better and the feelings of anxiety and depression do fade!
