Smile My first hello here

This is my first blog entry. As part of my recovery program I read blogs for an hour a day. And they say, you gotta post blogs too, to share and give back. Well, whatever it takes, right? I know there is strength here. There is magic in sharing and connecting. Power. To stay sober and chase those dreams. So here I am and hello to all of you.

Ok, still trying to learn my way around here. I appreciate everyone who welcomed me on board and said nice things. And here, I am back. I envy you people who know how to get around on this site. I see that I have made no friends, have none of this, don't belong to any groups, can't do this, haven't done that and so on. The only thing missing is something that tells me so I might as well go *&^% myself. lol But I do see that you people enjoy this place and I intend to enjoy it too and make it a place to come to and to belong.

I read the John Lennon thing, thought it over a couple of times and liked it. this buddy of mine -- he is always about doing stuff and having stuff and who he knows and it's never enough. I told him have you ever tried just being (like being happy)? He quit getting back to me. I do believe that being happy is the greatest thing. Until you are happy, you have no happiness that you can share with others.

Hi, i am new on here to, today is day 3 clean for me. It really does help to read stories similiar to mine. hearing the the struggles, the fears, but most importantly the thought of a clean future. Makes things alot better. I was feeling kinda sad this morning, but after reading and posting i feel a little better. One day at time!!!!!!!
