After 15 years on the ice I returned to roller skating (where I started as a kid)

I don't see how this is putting anyone else in danger. My anonymity doesn't matter to me, I don't care if people know I'm an alcoholic. I don't believe this identifies anyone else - please tell me if I'm wrong. I think it just identifies me, which I'm fine with.

That's why I'm showing it!.....it's shocking. It's a very clear example of what alcohol did to me, it took away my ability and my love - it made it more difficult and almost impossible. I went from winning the national title to finishing way off the podium in only 2 years time. It was sad, but now it makes me laugh and makes me happy as I'm now back to normal on skates

Thank you!!!!!!, but world championships won't happen - I'm a bit too old and my jumps are lacking a few rotations (doubles aren't enough, need triples and quads......I'm 33, My days of "improving" in that way are long gone LOL.

very moving! it appears only subtle changes in your style but i can imagine your inner feelings while perfoming in the 2nd video!

I always used to "place " in Masters swimming in the 100yard butterfly even just 15years ago. i can't even finish a 50 yarder! i hope to get back to that. At my age placing will be easier just by finishing, haha!
i had thought about posting before/after pics of my self to show the deterioration. Mine was dramatic, but those who know me say no, so guess was just seeing myeslf thru bourbon colored glasses
