Day 5

Hi everyone,

Day 5 is here.

I was a bit cranky yesterday but got through ok. Definitely sleeping better.

Actually did some exercise. Walking on treadmill and lifted some weights. I've heard about endorphins but didn't really believe it. However I felt wonderful and quite high after session yesterday. I'm very fat and unfit and unused to exercise but man it made me feel good just to complete the session.

Please can I get addicted to exercise instead of substances like alcohol.

I am getting so much help from talking to you all and reading your wise comments. I'm even having trouble remembering which day I 'm up to. Normally I'm the sort of person who would be constantly counting days, minutes, seconds. Is it possible that I'm loosening up on my control freak nature? Wow!

5 days is wonderful leb! It's normal to be cranky & anxious in the early days. You're sounding very hopeful though.

Ha, good for you for letting go of control-freak issues. I had to do that too. It was scary, but wow, what a relief! I'm glad the exercise is making you feel good and I hope you keep it up.

Day 5 too! Want to do day six? I went to SI NZ many years ago. Loved it. Should start dreaming of trips to make. Doesn't fit with being a drunk now does it.
