GUYS This Is No Longer Funny
That's not the point.
It's a simple case of allowing Men and Women to have a place where they can speak without interference from the opposite sex.
And, I'm really, really disappointed that people think this is such a joke.

I posted on the Men's forum ONCE when I had finally realized there was a new posts button. I'm pretty sure it was Dee who pointed out my error and I took it seriously.
I still use the new posts button but I also check to see what forum it's in.
There are a ton of forums where anyone is allowed. That being said, men and women deserve a safe place to talk about their own stuff.
Ann, Dee and the other mods do a tremendous job, here, and I really don't think it's fair that anyone should spend a lot of time on "men's room" or "women's room" detail.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

Thanks, Anna.
I appreciate your taking a strong line here. I've been a very rare poster in the Women's Forum for the very reason you cite. Despite the clear admonition, too many guys in there and posting there.

I had a look and I posted once on there a couple of days ago without even knowing. Apologies. Actually I didn't even know there was a women's only forum.
As was mentioned before I also use the "new posts" option which can allow you to post to an ongoing conversation without walking through the front door of choosing the forum room. It may be something for the owner/moderator of the site to think about whether there is some way to flag to users that this is a women's only forum for all posters to it before the post goes through.

If you use New Posts, the Forum is listed. All you need to do is give a quick glance to see which forum it is.
I just wanted to add something. This site is HUGE with a lot of members and even more guests.
The techies have been working, like crazy, doing upgrades, trying to fix the double posting errors and other issues we've had and I'm grateful for them.
As I said, I posted in the men's forum by accident, using "new posts". At that point, however, I've made it a conscious effort to see what forum a thread is in. I use SR on my laptop and my phone, both show the forum.
It took a little bit of adjustment to get used to doing that, but hey - I'm an addict in recovery, what's another adjustment?
Anna has brought this to our attention, I feel it only fair that we pay more attention to where we are posting.
I mean no offense to anyone. I just know that SR has been a HUGE part of my recovery and I, personally, want to do what I can to keep it running and open for all the others who stumble on this site, like I did
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

Anna, of course I have no problem with personal responsibility and respect. The point is that the New Posts option allows people to post into the Women In Recovery section without seeing the warning that it is a Women's only forum so either people don't notice eth "Women in Recovery" title or they do but they don't know that it is for women only. Its not a question of a lack of respect in this instance.
Maybe put WOMEN ONLY in caps after the name so that it looks a little more obvious when the new posts option is selected or maybe there is some other way of drawing attention to the fact so that the innocent mistakes don't occur.

Putting WOMEN ONLY in caps will not deter mistakes if the poster doesn't LOOK at what forum s/he is in. It's simple. Just look at the right side to see what forum it is. How much more obvious can it be?
