My newly sober boyfriend went from detox to living in a sober house about three weeks ago and broke up with me saying he needs space to focus on him and wants to be alone. We have known each other most of our lives and have been together about 5 yrs and he had never been so cold to me. He doesn't even want to have sex which I think is really strange and has insisted there is nobody else and he still loves me but just wants to be alone right now. I am devistated and love him so much but he's making me feel really irrelevant and doesn't even want my support much. It seems like he barely cares He won't even call me just text I'm really upset and don't know what to think or how I should handle this. Please help

I can't give you any advice on what to do but maybe this will help.
Sometimes when people finally get clean and sober they change. He may never be the person you once knew. Also, only he can say for sure, he may be trying to feel things out slowly so that he doesn't mess up his sobriety.
