What ACTION dod you take today?
What ACTION dod you take today?
At the end of each day.... What specific action did I take to;
Deepen my sobriety
Develop new emotional skills
Be honest with myself and others
Clear away the burdens of the past
Try new things
Make new friendships
Cultivate a meaningful relationship
Know myself better and more deeply
Express Gratitude
Help another
Connect with Spirit
The list can be varied well beyond this, but the point is if I'm not taking daily ACTION to grow and evolve and protect my sobriety..... Then I am simply stagnating.... Rolling along on the tides of life.
And I've learned that when I do that.... It winds up rolling me back into a bottle.

I needed this post. I feel stagnant right now and it's all my fault. My AA big book is collecting dust. My new worksheet is 2 weeks old and I haven't even looked at it yet. I have 800 other things I need to do today and I don't know where to begin. This is one of those days where I sit worrying about what I have to do, not do anything, get filled with frustration and anxiety, take it out on everyone, call people from the program, then sit here overwhelmed because nothing got done today. I need to get active into my recovery but I don't know where to begin. I woke in a funk and I can see where this day is going to go. Help.

Awesome CG!
Now... Begging the day with action is a fantastic lead-in to ending the day in Gratitude.
May I suggest a simple 'thank you' toward a power greater than yourself as you drift off to sleep?
Again..... Action.

It sounds like a plan to me. I stayed in a funk today but at least my head stopped. I got my list done and I am grateful for that. And I am sober I am grateful for that. And I am grateful for you. Now I will say it out loud. Good night and thank you

Morning prayer "God I pray for knowledge of your will and the power to carry that out ".... Short and sweet as step 11 says.
Talked to sponsor twice, grand sponsor and great grand sponsor once, 4 yr old sober friend twice, newcomer ten minutes ago.
Made the kids dinner and will have to look after my drunk wife later ( she gets like this 2-3 times a year... Lol, I figure I owe her a lifetime of putting her drunk ass to bed once in a while)
Practice these principles in all my affairs to the best of my ability.
Step 10 inventory later, but I don't think they'll be anything much on there.
But there is still 2 hours before bed

Today I thanked creator for another morning with my family, I posted on here, meditated, exercised, hit an AA meeting, an after meeting, got my small to do list done, meditated again and now I'm going to do my gratitude list
