Feel like i'm going up a ladder and sliding down 3 snakes
This is mainly about the anxiety I'm currently having which is seriously disrupting my day.
I get up ok just about and I'm doing all my self care (shower, shave, clean clothes etc) . Then when I get to a certain point the anxiety takes hold and my mind goes blank.
I don't think I'm having very good sleep either
I'm with my daughter right now and it's ever present.
Really want to get back to work
Into week 3 on anti depressants. Anyone been here? Anyone got any pointers for me?
Work seems so far off but I'm desperate to get back to feeling better

We are having nerf gun fights and doing some reading at the minute, just trying to push through for now but it's the bare minimum compared to my usual contributions with my daughter

I have got an appointment on Wednesday and have thought about asking for a dose change. Too early though?
I know I'm not were I need to be, maybe I'm being impatient but I have my life to get back to which includes work, quality time with my daughter and family and maintaining sobriety.
Walking round like a shadow unable to talk, think and feel is no fun at all
Commenting strictly on antidepressants here- you are right around the time the majority begin to kick in.
One of the reasons the MD scheduled you again for Wed might have been to evaluate your response to your meds and make any changes needed.
I'm sorry you're having a difficult time right now and wish you strength.

I was on ADs years ago and it took (~6-8 wks) to reach the full effect - although I was feeling a lot better about month in. Note that some ADs can make anxiety worse in the beginning stages, causing a lot of folks to discontinue use. Please check with you Dr. He/she may give you something temporarily to offset the side effects while getting on the AD.
Keep us posted.

I'm doing the whole getting up and getting on with it routine and have been staying consistent.
It is demoralising at this stage as it feels to be all in vain.
The biggie is getting back to work, I have already been off 3 weeks and I can't afford to be off much longer as got mortgage, bills etc to sort out
This is awful
