41 days!!
I went through a very low 3 days after Christmas and since then each day has been getting better. I am a passionate Buckeye fan and normally would have been drinking during the Sugar Bowl last night and continued drinking to celebrate their win or their loss. Last night, I spent the evening with my son, brother, sis-in-law, and nephew. For the first time in a long time, I felt content and at peace. I could not get the smile off of my face and plus I enjoyed and remembered every play of the game. I thought that watching sports and drinking would always go hand and hand. I am so excited that I can be happy in the moment. My SIL was also drinking wine coolers and this was the first time that I have been around alcohol. I had no desire to even look at it. It really does get better with time. I won't let my guard down, but I am so happy each day for the small steps I am taking to just live in the moment and feel everything, good or bad.
