Made it!

Since the begining of my recovery (15 weeks ago), I was looking at the holiday season like the biggest wall I had to climb in this journey... I was dreaming of that day, the 2nd of January 2015, where I was still sober and proud of myself...

well... I made it!

hooray for me!

I would like to wish and amazing year 2015 to everyone commited in the same battle as mine... being and staying sober!

take care and happy sober days to everyone!

Excellent work Alex! I had big concerns too as I've not been able to make it through in the past. 35 days today and feeling great! Congrats on 15 weeks. Onwards and upwards!

Congrats! It's great, isn't it?! was nervous about the season too, but made it through. First time ever since I started drinking in my early teens. I'm happy and relieved it's over. I feel as if I passed a major milestone.

Funny you should say that Pumkinny. Because even though I had a pretty serious relapse right before the xmas (total blackout, fell or otherwise broke windows and stuff), in the same breath I think this is actually the first xmas since my teens also where the whole season didn't revolve around alcohol in some form or other. Well thats a weird one anyway! I never really though of it like that. Good job all...

That's wonderful Alex. I was grumpy & feeling sorry for myself the first holiday without it - but I was relieved when I made it through without caving. I felt strengthened & more optimistic. The second holiday season I wasn't resentful - and it's been great each year since. Congrats!

Fantastic, Alex!! Congratulations.

I love the holiday season, but admit I'm sort of looking forward to getting back into some semblance of a normal routine!
