Day 3
Day 3
I think I'm finally over the worst of being sick from detox. I was able to go to work during that time but was sick, couldn't eat, dry heaving, sweating, hot.....detoxing at its finest. I've been staying in the solution by just going to meetings. I don't think I really understood surrender until now. I am done and I'm so scared of my head all I keep doing is just going to meetings, talking to my sponsor and hanging out with women in the program. If my sponsor tells me to do something I'm doing it because I tried to do it my own way and it honestly doesn't work for me. That "easier, softer way" is true, there is none. Not for me anyway.
I'm really sad that my boyfriend of three years left me but it put me in a position to truly focus on getting sober. I HAVE to get sober, well now I have to stay sober. I have been sober for 3 days but I feel like my body is just still sick from it.
For anyone out there who is thinking of going out again, that they can handle it, DON'T DO IT!! Please, don't make the same mistake that I have. I've lost a lot but I don't want to lose it all. Happy New Years Eve and be safe!

Thanks all. I don't know if the worst is over yet as I'm kicked out of my home and lost my boyfriend but I can say that I AM in the solution. One day at a time, going to meetings and keeping sober. As long as I'm sober things will fall into place!
Happy 2015!! I am watching tv in a hotel with room service and another person who's in the program. I'm safe for the night!
