Feeling sad but hopeful
As 2014 closes (at least in this part of the hemisphere) I look back with some sadness for missed opportunities but also with a sense of hope for a better 2015. As they say, hope springs eternal.
I don't like the word "resolution" so I will say my goals for 2015 include:
1. SOBRIETY!!!!!!!
2. Being more authentic
3. Giving back to more to the community
4. Honing my "mindfulness" skills
5. Hopefully repairing issues in my family
6. Getting back to the health club and getting more fit
7. Maintaining an attitude of gratefulness for all that I've been given.
How about you? What are your hopes for the coming year?

The year 2014 was the worst year in my life. I lost almost everything I loved and cared for. That being said I know others here lost more than I did and, my heart goes out to them. The only good thing about it is that I came to grips with my alcoholism and, started to deal with it.
My wishes for 2015 are: To remain sober and continue in my recovery. Put my past to rest. Become a better person. Redefine who I am, where I want to be and, try to get there.

(((jsm)))). May all your wishes come true.

Hi AF. That's a good list of goals. I also don't like "resolutions" but tend to be a planner kind of person (when sober anyway). For me, 2014 has been a great year with lots of challenges... I've spent most of it sober so I'm coming up on a year at the end of January. I will probably post a reflection on all this then, including plans and goals for the future.
For now, briefly and realistically -- probably this applies to all of us, both individually and socially. All the best to you
