Hi Everyone
How's everyone doing today? I'm sitting here feeling like crap from withdrawals. I usually feel much better after today.
I've been looking at other aa meeting venues. The group I was at seems to have thinned out recently.

rockin' it here..... thanks for asking!
getting around to other meetings is a great experience. Different viewpoints, different faces, different stories.....
there are new lessons to be had and potential new friends to be made.
I might just try a brand new one myself this week!!!!

Hi Justin. Is this your 2nd day sober? (Just looked at your other thread from yesterday.) Well, hang in there. Do consider dropping by an urgent care clinic or the ER to get some meds if you feel really bad. I had some awful withdrawals too, in the past, so I know what you mean.
Do go to a meeting if you can... there must be a few options where you live, I guess? Also, if you have been going through cycles or drinking and sobriety this year, do give permanent sobriety a chance. I can't tell you how much better my life has become in every way during this year since I quit. There have been some tough periods alright, but that's been very small price to pay for the overall result for me. You might need to do a little more though to make it stick... I would suggest that once you feel okay, try to engage in a variety of activities in addition to AA. For me, distraction was paramount in the early days and weeks to combat the cravings and to keep on track.
Hope you feel better soon

Doctor's not around until after new year. I did call him, and he told me to go to the er if it got bad. I wouldn't consider it bad yet. Just shaking. 48 hours in and I'm usually in the clear.
