One of those days........

I'm at work, and it feels like everything that can possibly go wrong today is going wrong.

I seem to make a mistake in everything I touch, regardless if I'm careful and triple checking everything I do. Then of course I follow each mistake with raking myself over the coals (in my head) and telling myself what an idiot/piece of */etc. etc. I am...........

What's going on with my brain today?!? Getting so frustrated with myself and everything.

This can be a learning experience if I can change my perspective of this day.

Anyone have successful attempts with turning around a day like this?!?!

Get out of the office for a few minutes and try and recenter yourself. Seems to help me when I get into a funk and believe you me I get into funks.

Looks like your addiction knows what buttons to push. Mark today off as "one of those days" and quit beating yourself up.

yup.
If you can, go outside for even a 5 minute walk. Just 5mins.
Breathe. I'm all about the deep breathing lately (thanks to my physio guy) - and fresh air.

Yes, a change of scenery would be ideal. Did you have a good lunch? Maybe some food would help, whatever works to get you through this.

Agreed. Even a short walk can offer balance and fresh perspective.

I have had those days before where nothing I do is right. I chalk it up to simply being an off day & keep it moving. You are human & mistakes happen, the good thing is that you have the skills & abilities to correct those mistakes.

When you get off work, treat yourself to a pedicure & go home & do nothing. That always works for me! ;-)

I know this is easier said than done. But when I'm having those days, I literally try and force myself to laugh. In my head, I taunt myself ..."like really? SERIOUSLY is this happening??!!! GAH!" and force a grin. All the while reminding myself "this too shall pass"

I usually take solace in the fact tomorrow is bound to be better. It's great having bad days now, rather than bad weeks or months
