I used to catch a ride in to work with my manager on occasion. One day in the car he said, "I just need to know one thing: are you okay to work?" I said "yeah" and that was that. Great industry I work in for alcoholics.

I worked at a Beer Store for years, a culture of alcoholism! One of the ways I was able to justify my self abuse was that everyone was doing it! If it wasn't me working with a crippling hangover it was one of the other staff. Best thing I could of done for myself is leaving that job. Wanna talk about people stinking of booze? It was all I smelt all day. I saw so many sad souls from behind that counter...... Tragic how alcohol can consume a persons life.
