How much do/did you drink?
In an average week I would drink aprox 60 standard drinks.
That is a week where I get up and go to work everyday, obviously this number can get a bit higher than that if I take days off.
How many standard drinks do you drink a week?
Not really sure what the point of this post is other than curiosity.

Most times I didn't count. I just kept going till I puked or passed out. I used to buy 3 cases a week of beer. And of course blamed the excess consumption on my boyfriend. Since I quit, he has the same case from over a month ago

I drank enough to be blitzed all day everyday., I have no idea what that would be in units.
I know as a newcomer it's often comforting to know where you are in 'the curve', but everyone knows people who drank more and people who drank less
The main thing is you're dealing with the problem now

These threads can be comforting, but the effect of alcohol amounts on different people's physiology can produce different results. I used one of these threads to justify I didn't have a problem because I drank less than someone else. I was still drinking too much.

I drank in the evening 2-4 times per week. I was a binge drinker. Very dangerous!
I drank 4-6 beers & 2-4 mixed drinks in a three to four hour period. (I'm a 5'3, 135 pound female)
I basically drank as much as I could as fast as I could to not feel ANYTHING. I would usually stop when I started to feel sick or needed to vomit.
I drank on an empty stomach.
Sad sad life! I'm ever going back! MY WORST DAY SOBER IS STILL BETTER THAN MY BEST DAY DRUNK! Truthfully!

Before that happens, it's almost the otherway around.. Like a competition as to who can drink/ take more poison when younger. It's a culture.
I can't say in "units" how much I drank. At my worst I would drink a little more than 2 handles (1.75 liters) of vodka a week, 6 or 10 light beers for washing it down. Most of that I would drink over the course of 3 days, then I'd reduce to 3-5 drinks after work during my workweek so I could sleep.
Man! It really drives it home to think about it and quantize the amount that I was drinking. Seeing that written down is crazy!

The CDC says women should not drink more than ONE 8 oz. drink per day or 7 in an entire week. For men it's no more than TWO 8 oz drinks per day!
I was drinking an entire weeks worth in 3-4 hours! BUT who cares....no matter how much I drank...it was poison for ME and was killing me. :-(

I would say 1 bottle of wine a day was the minimum. 3 bottles was a more realistic depending on the day.
I think breaking out of that habit of just "having a drink" which obviously led to more than one, and keeping booze out of the house was a helpful thing for me.
