New Hope

Day 34 now and it keeps getting better - my mind is clearing, I am productive throughout the day, sleep fairly well, feel mostly peaceful, less anxiety, and am getting back in shape.

However, most importantly, is the emerging feeling that I now have hope for the future - I have set myself up for a good life and realize that if I remain sober, I can truly have one. During my drinking years, I never thought seriously about the future and to be quite honest, didn't really care if I lived long or died young.

To the newbies like me, sobriety really does just keep getting better. I'm in for the long haul - this is the way I want to live.

Thanks to all for making this a great place for support, wisdom, and motivation!
