Hi! Just want say best wishes to you
I'd quit now, dates don't really work, at least not for me.
I'll just fail on that date and make a new date, it's like a comfort for me, " I can drink today with peace of mind because I'm quitting next monday"

I planned to stop drinking a lot more than I really did. And when I did it didn't last very long. Sometimes only a week but I could go up to a month or two. The longer and more you drink the harder it is to come out of a bender. The last few times were really bad - shakes, sweats, shivers, hallucinations. Drinking and then drying is pure hell. I don't have to worry or go through it again though - as long as I don't drink.

Just had a tremendous "Duh" moment. I was making my plan to quit when I realized that I'm terribly good at hypnosis and self-hypnosis. I've gotten all the results I wanted with it but I never thought about using it for my addiction. Which is weird. It's a side-effect of hiding from admitting that I have a problem I suppose.

Anyway, just finished my first session and it's been great. I'm going to use it to get rid of the addiction.

I'm still baffled that I didn't think about this earlier. Oh well, better late than never...

Hypnosis has worked for me for everything else. It even got me to quit smoking a decade ago. Got rid of my marijuana habit. And my first session worked well and in a similar way. So I'm certain that it will work.

It's just the element of alcohol addiction that makes you filter out the fact that it's a problem that made me not think about using it for that. I've even used it to become a functioning alcoholic... Not a good approach.

Btw, can't resist: stars still shine without darkness, you just don't see it.

Jgreen the sig is a metaphor in relation to sobriety not a scietific fact to say they need darkness to shine

sorry couldn't resist lol

Good luck friend and i hope 2015 is seriously awesome for you

It depends on how good the hypnotist is and I happen to be a really good one. Especially with myself.

I know about the sig. It was just a fun observation.

I'll let you know if it works.
