All is well
Wow lots of negative posts tonight. Thought I'd throw this one out there.
I missed celebrating my one week of being sober. Why? I forgot all about it!
I dropped the bottle a week ago (sunday,) dusted myself off and haven't looked back. Quitting was easy once I put my mind to it. I truly think that was the key. Only one rough day of withdrawal, that day was really bad.
I'm back to being me again. Driven, headstrong and motivated. The time I spent drinking was a joke. A total misrepresentation of who I am.
Just home from the company Christmas party. You know somehow I like being in those situations. Everyone around me drinking, slurring their words and falling all over the place, saying stuff they'll regret. Was I tempted, NO!
Reminds me what could have been if I kept drinking. Reminds me to stay strong. Reminds me that I'm so much better than that.
