Glad you're here, Welcome!

They don't take roll, and you don't have to say anything unless you so choose

Most of us were nervous about our first time going to AA, but were sick and tired of being sick and tired of drinking. You'll find a room of people with a common problem and for many a common solution. Listen for the similarities in peoples stories and not differences.......you'll feel welcome, I assure you.

Keep coming back!

Best decision of my life. 11 months sober tomorrow. Not only am I not a drunk anymore, I am now a USEFUL person in the lives of others. I would encourage you to go, there will be a whole room of people that know EXACTLY what you are going through.

I wouldn't worry too much, i've been to a couple before a year ago but I'm going again today. You don't have to speak if you don't want to and you'll find it really helpful. Honestly there's nothing to worry about

I was quite nervous about going to the first one but I got to the door and said "is this AA ?" A woman gave me a hug and a cup of tea , I sat next to her and she looked after me.

Second time, I talked to a few people, third time, me and couple of others decided to start an AA band together.

I 've only spoken once ,haven't shared yet, haven't got a sponsor yet. There's no pressure.

You ll be fine.

I was terrified, but so proud of myself afterwards. Now I actually look forward to going to meetings and feel weird if I miss a day.
