Day 6, not feeling alright.

I was woken up this morning by my wife at 4:30 am to her drinking and rattling things around. It really sucks because she brought up all the things I've done wrong, especially when I binged last, and didn't pull back any punches. Honestly, she was very angry and called me all sorts of names, etc. She always gets that way when she's drunk, which really hurts. I usually brush it off and forgive her as I understand how drunks work, but she seems like she cannot.

Thing is, I have to work this morning and can't take my kid to school. I'm really stressed out and it's only 7:20! Yesterday was an awesome day, I really had a good day, and today seems to be the exact opposite.

Thanks for listening to me guys.

We get good days and bad days, a sober bad day beats a drunk day any day of the week.

Now that's a lot of days. Yikes!

Try to stay strong, jayman, and keep your head focused on your goals.

It must be especially difficult to strive for sobriety while your wife is still drinking heavily; I feel for you.

While today may not be totally awesome, it can still have some truly awesome parts. Try to focus on the fact that, with each passing minute and hour, you are gaining strength and regaining health and becoming the person you want to be.

Above, you are giving your child a sober parent. That is awesome every single moment.

Just think you could be also dealing with a hangover and this! And that would totally suck! Just remembering that I wont have to deal with a hang over again is money in the bank to me. Keep your head up dude.

Are you worried about how your kid will get to school bc your wife is drunk? School bus? Can a friend's parent take him?

That doesn't sound okay....thats she is drinking and waking you up at 4.30am?

Whether you made mistakes or not, her drinking at that time is not acceptable.
There are more reasonable times of the days to discuss if she needs to discuss in my opinion.

Did today get better?

Today was good, work was good, managed to get her to school on time. I'll feel better, i'm just a little frustrated with my wife. We talked after work and got a lot of issues laid out on the table. I talked about the steps I'm taking to stay sober and told how much I love her, I apologized for what I did. She pretty much did the same, but it will take time for things to get better. We'll just have to see how things turn out.

I feel motivated, I feel good, and have no desire to have a drink thankfully. Everyone's response really helped, has helped since I joined this forum. Thank you all for the support!
