Really great to have you here Time. Relating to others who understand makes a huge difference. We all know what you're going through. You can do this!

Today is my day 5 as well Time. I used to have a "drunk every day" habit, then managed to work my way into every week or two. But when I did drink it was usually a two day event until I blacked out, passed out, woke up and drank some more type of thing. My last drink was last Saturday at about 6am. The effect this has on my wife I cannot fathom, I don't know how or why she's still with me and honestly that's still up in the air. It's hard on her, it's hard on my twelve year old. Those of us with addiction have to stay the course, utilize every means necessary to keep us from having that drink. They are worth every effort. Keep posting here, I sure as heck will be. I went to bed last night reading SR forum posts and woke up this morning doing the same. I will continue to do that every day. This is a good place to start getting help and support. I'm right there with ya along with everyone else here. Stay strong.
