Road to recover
Think this is a better name for my progress.
Just wanted to give an update.
I passed the 36 hr mark. Shakes are gone, I'm no longer a human vibrator, heart rate still a little high but combating that with a 1/2 dose of herbal sleep aid. Taking in lots of fluids, multivitamin and of course advil. Hoping on a good sleep one day soon.
My body is used to crazy amounts of stress. From my job, and from being an athlete. When I quit before, and went to the doctor and detox they said if I wasn't so fit I'd be dead. Partially the reason why I relapsed was knowing that I guess.
Feeling strong, yet VERY TIRED.
I did tell my girlfriend. That wasn't fun. But what I said was, I relapsed, I kept it a secret because you were so proud of me and didn't want to let you down. I need your help to get back on track. She was upset but understood. Her mom lost custody of her when she was a child because of drinking. She gets how tough it is.
So, on the solid road to recovery. Talk soon.
