Thumbs up TOPIC: Your Presence Here In SR Means More Than You Realize

You may not realize this, but each of
you here in SR, whether it be the newest
member just posting to those that have
been here for a long time and for the
many many important members inbetween,
your presences mean more that you can
imagine.

Each morning I have a routine of logging
into SR, quietly making my presence here,
reading your messages of experiences,
strengths and hopes of your day. Reading
your joys, struggles, humor, accomplishments,
and so much more.

I recognize names, aviators, stories as I
follow along each day and when you are
not logged on or you haven't been seen
for awhile, those thoughts of where are
you, hope all is well, where did you go,
what's up in your recovery life, I haven't
seen or heard from you in awhile, I hope
you are alright, comes to mind.

Then when you come back, pop in to say
hello, Ive not been here in SR for sometime
because such and such has happened, I
slipped, I relapsed, Im back to day one,
I relocated, Im still on track and just wanted
you to know, and so on, I like many are
happy and concerned, but glad you made
it back here to SR to let us know whats
been going on in ur life and recovery.

Sooooo, don't ever think your presence here
in SR hasn't gone unnoticed or not important,
because YOU ALL ARE extremely important
and special no matter where you are in
your life or recovery.

Stay in touch each day because I like
many need ALL of YOU..!!!!!

Excellent topic.

We also never know what simple thing we say that someone might need to see/hear.
For instance when I was having difficulty in the beginning with staying sober I heard the words “KEEP COMING.” Eventually things started to fit together and those words resonated especially on days I didn’t want to.

BE WELL

Great post, Sharon.

I think we never know when a kind word here or there will make a big difference in someone's life.
