Relapse

Good morning to everyone. Funny how we say not me I don't have drinking problem.Yet! a bottle some how gets empty. "To be free of a influence of an intoxicant" On Sunday past I moved my computer to a suitable area, I felt so good getting this job done, finally. I procrastinated long enough I knew the job it would be with wires /hook up /desk etc. I still had 1/2 bottle of rum in the house even after my cut off date which was July 28/04.Wanted to prove to myself I could handle having it in my home. "NA" I sat back with rum in hand and drank to my well deserved job today with a additude of look at what I've done.I'm tired of beating my self up. I quit smoking four yrs ago.I can do this stop no more crutches.I have lost three brothers far too young from drinking .Thanx again for this site & to all of you out there.... "Failure is not falling down. But refusing to get up"

We're addicts and alcoholics.
We love rewarding ourselves.
It's what we do best.
I'm glad you got up.

(((((((Breeze :07: ))))))) Wonderful quote & glad your getting up again.

One of my favorite quotes -

"My only choice left, was to go right. I left the bottle and went right into A.A. I hope & pray to remain with both left and right feet."

You're right it is time to pick yourself up and move upward & onward because I was told once that as an alcoholic & an addict I was expected to relapse or as I say (since I personally do not believe in relapse), I was expected to make that conscious &/or unconscious decision to get messed up...but now that I am 22 days away from having 2 years of clean & sober time, I believe that I am expected to do whatever it takes to stay clean & sober at all times...no exceptions...so I hope that maybe I helped you &/or someone else out just a little bit today!! Love ya!! Luv, Samantha
