Went sober finally.
Day 16 and counting. After drinking at least a 12 pack a night for many, many years I am now sober.

Never thought this would happen. Best I have done before was two weeks. And the funny thing is I have no desire to drink anymore. Hopefully it stays this way.

Welcome, DragonsBane--and congratulations on 16 days!

I hope you read around and post often. I think it is very helpful to my sobriety if I never forget from where I came.

Congrats on 16 days Dragonsbane! That is great!! I am in the same boat and also have no desire to drink any more either. It feels so much better to be without the booze, doesn't it?

I work as a machinist/millwright and I find skills I thought I had lost each day. My welding and fabrication has definitely picked up a few notches now.

Having a clear head is nice. No haze or hangovers anymore.

The no hangover part IS amazing! I had forgotten what it was like to wake up without one!
And waking up with no regrets is pretty awesome too!
