Day 66...the weekend Blahness...;(
End of another sober week. Today marks 66 straight sober days.
Seemingly out of nowhere...I've hit a depressed funk these past couple of days. My Sister was just over for dinner...and well I just wanted to be alone but I forced myself to interact with her and my family today.
Haven't seen her much since she moved out...but was totally ambivalent about seeing her today...Didn't see my GF at all this weekend either...and really started missing her ALOT today...we usually spend the weekends together...but told her I wasn't feeling well yesterday.
Just wanted to sleep the weekend away...REALLy hope tomorrow is better...Some sun would be nice. The winter often sucks the life out of me. ;(
Not going to drink. Haven't thought about it in awhile...but just need to be aware of my thoughts/patterns.
Going to watch some Battlestar Galactica...Sci Fi usually brightens my mood.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend SR. I am not drinking today.

As for the no sun thing there are lamps you can buy from pharmacys to help with this i think its called seasonal affective disorder its like a nightlamp im thinking of getting one its meant to help during winter
Early recovery is a rollercoaster of ermotions but as long as you recognise it and know that it will pass youl be ok
Enjoy battlestar Galactica

Hiya. I had spells where just out of nowhere i felt really down. Someone recommended that i should read up on PAWS Post-Acute Withdrawal Symptoms - Relapse Prevention Strategies. Its very common in early stagey and just knowing about it helped me hugely. Hope this helps.
I think it's important to realise we can have blah days in recovery too - the good thing is they're bad days, not bad weeks or months like they used to be
Hope tomorrow is better for you findingtheway

I think you've hit the two month wall...I did it pretty much this time last month.
You just got to work through it. Things do get better.
For me, the initial stage of sober euphoria passed and I had to start dealing with things that I previously killed with alcohol (e.g. stress, boredom etc).
Work through it, I've come out of the worst of mine now I think.

Hang in there dude. I'm down at the moment as well. I seem to have roughly 1 bad day a week. But I'm soon reminded of how great living the sober lifestyle is. Chill out, enjoy the sci fi and see what tomorrow brings. I'm gonna do the same thing with the Simpsons
This is a hard time of year. The holiday season isn't always everything it's cracked up to be. Lots of people get depressed this time of year. For me, I think about family and days gone by. And a gloomy, grey day will make it worse. Hang in there Finding. Maybe think about what you have in your life that you are grateful for.
