I'm not 100% certain if it is true, but I was told you can get referred pain from the live in your back and shoulder blades.
Like when people have a heart attack, they get referred pain in their arm.
Drinking can also cause alcohol related neuropathy.
Symptoms of this are numbness in the hands and feet. Pins and needles sensations in your hands and feet and you can have difficulty grasping objects as your 'feeling' sensation can change.
