New Horizons and hope
On Nov 25th 2014 I ended my decade long battle with denial about my drinking. It was killing me and I think my declining health made my adult children sad, it made me sad. Without telling anyone I got rid of all alcohol and alcohol related stuff from my house.
I was nervous and excited about my sudden urgency to become sober. The next 2 days were sereal with audio and visual hallucinations and body temperature going whacky but I stuck it out and here I am today feeling stronger and more determined.
When I told my doctor she was proud of me and offered any support she could provide.
I now am day dreaming about my future and all the things that await me. I can't believe that I lived in that dark place for so long. I have a lot of catching up to do..
Thanks for being a supporting community.
