Dr. google and liver disease

I have had all kinds of cirhosis indications for quite some time, terry's nails. beaus lines, palmer erythemia (sp?). abd. pain., and gurd.

I had just about purchased my grave stone, and in a horrible funk so i went to a real doctor.

all my labs are normal and my liver is right sized. What a relief and a reminder that my thinking problem could lead back to my drinking problem.

i wanted to share about the reality of my fright and the internrt searching experience

Yup, I did the same. Turns out that although very ill from constant drinking, my liver was fine 2 months later when I had labs done. I don't regret any google research I've done- especially in the alcoholism arena and am aware I get "fired up" about all things I delve too deeply into. The fear of being closer to the grave was helpful to me.

I am 26 and did this to myself as well. I even managed to go nuts for a while AFTER receiving totally normal lab results.

It took another visit to my doctor for a physical exam and a visit to my eye doctor (what!?) until I really began to feel like I wasn't dying after all.

All labs and tests normal. Unbelievable how powerful the " thinking" problem can be!
