So tired... :(

I have been sober for 6 days, and although I've made this stretch before quite a few times I am SO tired and exhausted. All I do is work and sleep. I sleep 9-10 hours a night, work one job, sleep two hours and work another job and go to bed for the night. I have always lived an active lifestyle, and been able to go to the gym and out with friends and stay up past 9pm. I just am SO fatigued and I have no motivation to do anything at all. I am not sure if this is a withdrawal symptom or me just being depressed. Anyone else have this problem?

It is common. You'll get that energy back....just let your body heal! When I first quit drinking, I slept 12 hours a day for a month.

I feel the same way. I could easily sleep 9 hours and then still take a nap...seriously.

I hope you feel more energetic soon. If you're concerned, you can always check with your dr. Good for you for 6 days sober.

Your body is working hard right now. Give yourself time to heal. Things will balance out.

I was dog tired in the first couple of weeks of early sobriety, and then I was plagued by insomnia when I tried to sleep at night. It does get better.

I can definitely relate. Tired early at night and feel tired in the morning, even after 9 hours of sleep and sleeping like a rock.
