That is some truly deep stuff regarding your dad's death. I'm sorry to hear your brother is such a jerk and using religion to make you feel bad about yourself. I would also agree with others that it would be wise not to open the letters.
You showed some amazing strength ArtFriend and should be quite proud of yourself! *hugs*

If your brother was a TV show,I would turn the channel immediately.
Never mind the mute button.

LOL!! Love it!

What do I do with the new clippings of his football years...College All State, Captain of the team, linebacker with the Detroit Lions?

FLUSH?

Does flushing sound like freedom... Or retaliation?

What kind of person do we want to be? What energy do we want to put into the flow of our lives.

Who knows what kind of healing shift might occur through the simple act of boxing up those clippings and sending them.

Just because your brother is struggling with being a kind human being doesn't mean you need to....

No,
I think you're bigger than your linebacker brother.
So sending them would be the right thing.

Odd, he claims to be a Christian yet is vain like that?
He should be more Christ like...no?
You know, somebody that hung out with hookers, drunks and outcast and didn't judge them. Use kind words to bring the sheep home.
Just my 2 cents.

I would take the high road and send them to your brother.

I do LOVE the comment about changing the channel. As my son would say, your brother is a butthead.

We can't choose our relatives but we can choose a family.

I wouldn't do anything in spite or vengeance AF.

apart from you're better than that - and you are - it would mean there'd still be some relationship & ongoing drama there...cos your brother would be mightily upset and retaliate...

I think a better thing would be to send the clippings, no note...make it an ending.
