I agree with SW. It's time to report your boss or to look for a new job. It's not worth it to drink over something like that.

Try not to let someone who is off-balance affect your balance and sobriety. Your boss's rampage is her issue.

A boss is a boss and you may have to adjust your performance to meet her expectations but try not to let it affect your psyche and personal balance.

If your boss's behavior is unreasonable or unhealthy, however, you may need to take other steps.

Is there a process in place at your workplace for conflict resolution; have you thought about meeting with HR about a transfer within your organization?

there will always be someone or something that we can use as a focus of justification....

don't let yourself fall for it.

Your boss is only a person. Your boss's rampage is only another person's issues.

This is your day off, turn off the phone and go enjoy your day off.

Let your boss own your boss's rampage.

But don't let your boss be your excuse for your own.

I can always use an excuse and say that I need to drink because of what somebody else has done but I would only be deceiving myself yet once again

it builds much strength in us once we go through these issues without taking a drink we just get stronger and stronger in our sobriety

I used to get drunk at my boss. He'd **** me off, I'd get a bottle, take it home, and drink righteously at that SOB. I suffered and he never seemed to notice. Complete futility.

She said rampage and called you on your day off? Is she an alcoholic?! I hope so, otherwise I don't know what to say!! Jk!
Work gets me going too, all last week that was what near,y drove me to drink. Hold on, it'll pass, don't let her ruin your good sobriety xoxo
