Welcome to sober recovery! Keep trying you can be free. Do you realize the craving are drawing you back to your prison? It is very good that you are reaching out. Keep posting. I am sure that others will be stopping by soon too. God Bless You!

Welcome schk

I know how you feel, it's a tough road but it is well worth the trip. Get into a program and get yourself a sponsor. I have 38 days today and it keeps getting better all the time. You will always have bad days, but if you have a good support infrastructure you can learn to deal with them in a healthy way. Keep working it, you're worth it. There is a lot of support here so keep posting.

God Bless

Im an addict. My drug of choice is more. I liked the drugs you mention, but my favorite was whatever you had and I didn't have to pay for. If you follow the 12-n-12 of NA (12 steps/12 traditions), it promises you freedom from active addiction. PERIOD. An addict, any addict can stop using, lose the desire to use and find a new way to live. www.na.org , then regional links then Hong Kong. I used to live in Hong Kong on HK Island. off Conduit Road, North of Central.

Hi schk...
Glad you found us.
I think it is rare that someone in recovery gets the monkey off their back completely.
It lurks there in our subconscious...
We just need to remember that is a primitive part of our brain and we can learn to ignore unhealthy impulses.

Hi Schk,

The things we do to ourselves indeed. I'm glad you're back on track and I hope you keep hanging around here.
