Day 8 or Day 1??
Ok, so I can probably guess the answer. I on on day 8 but just had a nice big shot of vodka to ease my nerves. So, I'm still "sober", but yes I did cheat. So am I day 1 again??
I have actually enjoyed this sober thing, but today, home alone after a stressful day, I really wanted to unwind a bit. So yes I enjoyed a shot from my child's father's stash. (I dumped mine out which helps, but I need to rid the house of his too!)
This is the hard part for me-- being home, not busy, with time to unwind which I get so rarely. In a way I am proud of myself for not getting drunk as usual, but I am also disappointed in myself for having any at all.
So, how does this work, am I day 1 again?

Day one tomorrow.
Next time, have a list of things to do to ease your after work tension. How about a walk or run? A workout DVD? A yoga class? Jump rope, ride a bike, do situps, jumping jacks, walk the neighbors' dog, vacuum, wash windows, hot shower, anything but a shot of vodka.

Hi.
To most people sober means alcohol free within the body.
Some people consider what you did tapering off which mostly does not work as some will continue to try that permanently and is being dishonest with ourselves about our drinking.
So day 1 tomorrow.
BE WELL
