Going on a health kick

I just made a kale-orange-banana smoothie for breakfast with Vit B complex. I want to feel healthier and less dragged down. No alcohol for 2 days now. Maybe if I feel stronger physically, the urges will diminish.

Happy Saturday (or whatever day it is where you live)

CristinaN 11-29-2014 06:51 AM

I'll join you. :)

This is my niche.....Get some kombucha.

Chillly 11-29-2014 06:55 AM

Good work.. sounds tasty.

Just remember not to overload on life changes at first.. keep your focus on sobriety first. Kinda like joining a gym, working out too hard on the first day, and too sore to go back.

Congrats on day 2!

I love fruit smoothies!

Ghostlight1 11-29-2014 06:57 AM

Nice. Sounds good, better than my usual morning drink of a screwdriver.
Congratulations, and keep taking care of yourself.

Are you trying to make me feel bad Art? I made French toast and bacon for breakfast!

ubntubnt 11-29-2014 07:17 AM

yep, me too...apple/lemon/carrott/ginger for me each morning along with oatmeal (and a triple shot coffee). Always used to skip breakfast but my appetite seems to have returned with a vengence since I dropped the booze.

Bologna & Cheese Daquiris...sicko

We got so drunk one night making daiquiris (and ran out of fresh fruit ingredients),someone suggested making bologna & cheese daiquiris (because that was all that was in the fridge). We actually did it, and drank them...sicko. :a136:

Now that I am Free & Sober, I too enjoy fresh smoothies in the morning...blueberries, yogurt, oats, almond milk, and whatever fresh fruit I may have...but NOT bologna & cheese!

OMG! I want to hurl

Hawk07 11-29-2014 09:30 AM

I always make sure my fridge is stocked with goodies in case any cravings hit me. Eating something always helps quell those out of the blue urges. Lots of fruits and veggies for the health and I have about 4 different kinds of ice cream at all times for emergencies.

Wish I had a blender. I so badly want to start making smoothies, there's an infinite amount of possibilities to play around with.

Probably could get one cheap on the sales.
