Glad this holiday is over

I'm glad thanks giving is over , I've had cravings for alc for the last 36 hours, all the bars and stores are closed , so I'm in the clear,
for me I do much better on the days I have work then when I don't ,

On a good note , my car isn't running so I can't go anywhere , I'm convinced the motor siezed up , but it may just be the starter, I'm not sure this will make sense to any of you , but I know how to fix my car , but I won't , I'm more happy just beliving its shot , because its much harder to drink without a car I got almost 18 days under my belt and I want to play it safe , go to work , go back to hotel, sleep and repeat, its a bit of a drag but right now its working for me , maybe in a few weeks I will either fix my car or buy a new one , then venture out.

Anyways happy thanksgiving to all of you, I can honestly say I'm thankfull for the support I get on s.r

18 days is great, don't let the desire to drink lead to the drink....do what works best for you.
To be honest, I am glad this day is over too...holidays can be stressful
Take care of yourself

Keep hanging in and posting, Admiral. Keep protecting your sobriety ferociously--it will get easier in time.

good on 18 days admiral, do what you gotta do.
Happy Thanksgiving back at you. Things are gonna be open again, you have to have a better plan than just relying on things being closed.

Congratulations on 18 days, Admimal.

Things will get easier...you might find a good recovery plan helpful, my friend.
