Tried to Return Bottle of wine

Hi All,
Glad to report it's day 26 here !! And am back at my Mom's retirement community apt for Thanksgiving - where I had my last drinking episode 27 days ago. I had left an un-opened bottle here, and when I took her to the grocery store this afternoon, brought that bottle to return. The cust. service clerk was puzzled, had to call a manager, then said they legally could not take it back. I politely then said "here - then give it to someone who works here - I don't want it", smiled, and walked off. Pretty strange transaction for me. Hope all of you have a Happy & sober Thanksgiving !! Good story...I gave away a bottle of wine someone left at my house a few weeks ago. Feels good to give a bottle of wine away.

I successfully returned a bottle of wine last year in Virginia. The lady behind the desk just took it--she didn't consult anybody, so maybe it was illegal!
