I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. It was very nice for me, rediscovering how much I enjoy running, especially when the weather is this gorgeous. As promised, here's a pic of my favorite place to jog through. Isn’t it magical looking?

Thanks again and again for the company this weekend. Let's all have a great, sober start to the week.

And Congratulations, Ruby!!!!

Thank you everyone! I couldn't have done it without you. This thread has been a life line at times. This evening I've been distracted getting little people in bed and laundry folded.

Even now distraction is invaluable. I did a minor weed through some stuff and had cravings. Bah! There wasn't anything upsetting about the stuff. Clothes and paper. I just hate weeding through stuff. I have tons of clothes I have to get rid of. Start small Ruby. A little at a time.

Bimini, I like the cat on the iPad. Cats keep up with the times. Before they would sit on the newspaper. But they've learned that it's now the iPad or kindle they must sit on. Clever cats.

I hope everyone is well tonight. I'm going to fold some more laundry. Eat some ritual ice cream. Work tomorrow. Nine days off in a row. Sadly it's ending.

Thanks for the big smiles this weekend. It was a milestone for me in ways that need not be said. But thanks for being there.

Congrats Ruby on 1 year today!

Good to have Nons back and see all the pictures. I have yet to read your post. I will do that later tonight.

Big work week for me. Lots to do!

Love seeing who gets the last word!!!! We know if wont be MM.

There's far more excitement now for the last word than for shotgun!

I heard four gun shots in the last half hour. Yeah, sitting in a second floor bedroom/office of my home. They're just over that yonder hill. A mile away. And with the hill I'm on I am above the house to my left - a clear shot.

Good morning! And thank you. Well, a morning like any other workday Monday. The temperature has plummeted as promised. Back to the world of work. Being retired must be nice but having squandered extra income on my drinking career that day is far off if ever. Eww. Now I've just depressed myself this morning.

Perhaps Brain, you could move just a little away from the window. We'd like to keep you around.

Time to roll out. See you all next Thursday! It's been a pleasure sharing the ride with you all. Thanks weasel for getting us rolling.

I wasn't able to post much but did check in frequently this weekend. The thread has been entertaining, touching, heart wrenching and always, always supportive. What a great group!

Ruby, congrats on one year. It's gotten cold here too, not much above zero this morning.

This was my first major and extended holiday without drinking. My sister was disappointed. She wants her drinking buddy. That was the only pressure I felt, and I just said no.

Have a great week, everyone! I'll be joining you onboard again Thursday.

I'm still here, friends! I was so busy this weekend since I was the one that hosted Thanksgiving. Needless to say the mess, the cooking, the entertaining, the toddler, the dogs....all kept me busy. We had plenty of beers & alcohol at the house but not once was I tempted. It felt good to recoil at the smell of alcohol. ;-)
