hi i m jackie from denver. i have been clean and sober for 13 days. its very hard and lonely cause everyone i know does dope. i have started going to meetings and making or at least trying to make new friends. as long as i stay in the moment i know i ll be sober. ik hope to learn somethings from this sight.

Welcome Jackie, and congrats on 13 days sober! I am was a heavy drinker for over 5 years, but have been sober for almost 19 months now!

SR has been such an amazing source of strength and support for me, and I'm sure it will be for you as well.

Read lots, and post as much as you want...someone is always here to listen:-)

Hey Jackie- Welcome!

Congrats on the 13 days, as well as your decision to get clean. It might be worth while to think about finding new friends, as you've mentioned. This site offers a lot of support, which can be an asset when needed.
