Briar, first off, congratulations on your month. I am just getting used to people treating me normal. It was scary at first for the same reasons you mentioned. Now it feels amazing to feel like a functioning member of society. I have sober friends now who only know the sober, confident, and funny me. I still have my meetings and my sponsor. Plus the friends I got sober with. They remain a great support system. I also have you and the rest of SR. I don't post often but reading the threads helps me immensely. Your posts in particular often really helped. You too sober wolf. If you ever need to pm me, I'd be more than happy to repay the favor
I've been drinking very heavy for the last 3 years, so much so that I was cellibate because I didn't want to drag anyone down as the ship was sinking, I can't imagine having a meaningfull relationshi . While I'm drinking, and I certainly would not want somone to fall in love with me while I'm using , I think you will be more happy and healthy in all aspects being sober
