Nathan I am so pleased you are seeing a doctor in the morning. You are in a place of understanding and support here and with the dr, so keep that in mind tomorrow.

Well done for that man. It really is dangerous to do it cold turkey. Even if the doc doesn't prescribe anything to ease the symptoms, they can at least check to see that you are physically okay and put your mind at rest slightly. All the best.

What do you do for work?
Can you take a few days off?
Read here.
The Stickies/permanent posts over Newcomer and Alcohol section make good reading.
No matter how you feel in the next few days, come here and talk and read.
This will be HARD.
But, once through, your life will be so much better!
Would you check out AA?
Lots of face to face support there too and widely available.

I'm a fitter in the mining industry, yes they do random breathos luckily I haven't been done yet. And as for the days off I just came back from 2 weeks off haha... Wish I had of realised my problem before I did that. And for the AA, I live in a remote town so I'm not sure what's avalable here yet but I will be sure to check it out if there is anything here.and I have been on here most of my day as I had nothing to do at work today, reading people's stories and stuff. I'm going into this as positive as I can!

You might need to be careful at work.
Don't volunteer to be the explosives guy this week.
And work with someone so you don't fit the drilly thing backwords!
