Back

I had a few issues going on, and yes I picked up that first drink. I am back to day 1 and working on a plan not to be back at day 1. I have no appetite at all, and I know I need to eat something.

I feel you Tony. I've had a lot of day 1s, and it is difficult to eat even though you know that's what you need to do. Glad you're here. Lots and lots of support.

My new plan is not to buy it, keep it away from my house, and go to AA. I have other people in my house who drink. I have asked them NOT to bring it back in. I need my appetite back. What shall I eat first?

A nice sandwich or a big burger to celebrate your newnsobriety. And plus I've been looking for an AA group here in Hinesville as well. So for now this forum is my AA.

Hi Tonya. I have always struggled with eating when actively drinking. I found that buying those breakfast drinks helped me(the ones I like are called 'up and go' here in Aus). Basically flavoured milk drinks. They are small and manageable, and can be slowly sipped, lining your stomach and providing your body with some nutrients. Sometimes it worked for me by kick starting my appetite within an hour or so. Then, a slice of toast. After that I could usually manage a small solid meal. Also of course, lots of water. Good luck, I read so many comments on here from people who overeat during or after binging but I'm the opposite. All the best!

Welcome back and keep coming. I've had multiple day 1s. Don't get discouraged and just stop now.
