Checking in! Day 324
Today marks day 324 for me. I started reading this webpage In early December of 2013. I remember being inspired by so many different people's stories and by the amazing support of this community. I decided to make the commitment to getting sober beginning January 1 or 2014. While it was a very difficult start, thanks to this site I was able to make it through some tough times. I remember the temptations, frustrations and PAWS. I would post to ask for support, to get some guidance and to realize I was not alone.
I keep a counter going on my phone to keep track of the days. I used to look at it 3 times a day, now I only look once in a while. Today it was 324 days. I still feel this is early in my journey. But I wanted to tell others that it is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I feel great, love my sober life, and have great support from family and friends.
You can do it! Use this community and let them help you! I still check in and I still read posts. Getting sober is important work and the most important thing you can do. Now do it!
