The Grateful Heart During This Thanksgiving Season
I joined SR back in January of this year. I just stumbled upon this site as I was desperate to seek help, secretly.
Many of you know my failures, downfalls, struggles and victories. While I do not count days anymore (seemed like a trigger for me to beat old dates) I have some time under my belt and when I go to sleep I simply count it up as another day sober.
I just wanted to say, I am thankful, grateful and humbled by a community that only knows each other by a "screen name" but at the same time we are like brothers and sisters with the same common goal, to live a sober and happy life.
To those of you who I correspond with on a weekly basis, I say thank you. To those of you I "don't know" and who post I send out and equal appreciative thank you for the wisdom and insight. SR has been my avenue for my sobriety. I am not out of the woods, but boy have I made leaps and bounds. So I am thankful that I am on the right track.
For those of you that are lurking, all I can say is join, get involved. This place is nothing but a blessing to the sober road.
Alright, I am done with the mushy stuff, but seriously, I cant say thank you enough in words, so just know I am thankful for you all and grateful. Have a great day SR family.
