I failed

I binged again last night. I don't really know why I did as I was closing in on 4 days sober. Why does alcohol have such a huge say in what's going to happen in my day? I just want it out of my life...until I want it in my life

You didn't fail, you tripped. Dust yourself off and start again, we can help each other through these times. Don't dwell on what's happened

It's scary leaving what we know behind....but if you want change, you have to.
Why not try posting here next time instead?

Hey Scared1234,

I had a total binge for the last couple of weeks after being sober for four months. It sure feels like crap, I know.

Try and be kind to yourself, you know? We're all still learning and we don't get it right all the time. I think what's important for me is trying to identify what I could have done differently and changing things so that it doesn't happen again.

There are things you can do to, you're don't just have to keep repeating the same pattern. Take care of yourself :=]

As Dee said, I think it's the fear of leaving the known behind, and the fear of stepping off the cliff into unknown territory. Take the leap of faith and know that you will be just fine.

I lived that way for a long time because I was addicted to it. The only thing that ever got me past that was staying sober for several months. Now alcohol has nothing to say about how my day goes. I never realized I was a slave until I was free.

You can do this.
