I feel you my beautiful friend.
I've been eating oreos LIKE it's my JOB.
My mom's in a bad way again physically. It's either cookies or more booze then I can submerge myself in. Like I could literally bathe in wine right now to make the yukkos go away...if only it still worked.
I guess I'll take the mainlining sugar for the time being.

that stuff is powdered and i give it to my dog
the stuff for popcorn is Engevita, and yes, it's flakey. you can also use what's called "nutritional yeast", which might also be called Torula (hm...not sure here)

Don't tell anyone, Nuu, but I went to bed three nights in a row with a pint of Ben & Jerry's best. With added chocolate chips, like that dairy-based crack needs more stuff added to it...
Job stress, ex creeping around, doggy got surgery, and, yep, cold as all get out here in the nation's capital.
But the alternative? Drinking or engaging in otherwise self-demeaning behavior or general self-sabotage? Nah, I'll take Ben and Jerry to bed again in a heartbeat.
Just don't tell anyone, it's not like I want a whole forum of addicts to know I take ice cream to bed sometimes. My reputation, you know...

Cookies won't destroy your life and keep you in denial for 20 years which is what I have been. They won't cause one of your best friends to die and they won't cause you to be arrested....unless you mugged someone to get them. So on the assumption that you bought them I hope you enjoyed them. This life is tough enough, nothing wrong with a little (non alcoholic) comfort. You can't fight all the battles at the same time.

Oh heck. Since we are being honest....I ate a whole loaf of banana bread last night.
and I wasn't even sad. I just wanted to. So I did. I don't feel one bit bad about it.

haha....that is nothing....I had a whole chicken in mushroom sauce wrapped in pastry! Brought my wife out to tell her my sober plan and to apologise (again) and she said she would support me anyway she could starting with losing a little weight....AFTER I had ordered. Had to eat the whole bloody thing myself...yum.

I got a job. Although I am still looking for the stable/full benefits government gig...the stars all lined up to get me the exact nighttime serving gig I wanted!
There is this FANTASTIC funky Caribbean fusion joint that I was dying to be part of. I had actually dropped off a resume just last week ..and well, as luck would have it.... I bumped into the owner at the spiritual community I checked out last Sunday.
Anyhoo...she called me tonight. I start tomorrow night. I am DELIGHTED.
